Do you want to be part of one of the most dynamic tech companies? Creo 360 is keeping an open eye for innovative individuals to join their team of “Champions” to enhance the tech and digital marketing spaces in the North American region. In the past year, the company grew exponentially and it’s not slowing down. Entering 2022, it’s preparing to open a new office in Colombo as it expands its workforce to over 100+ professionals to better serve its clients.

Most recently, Creo 360 won the Great Place To Work Award for 2021, which recognised its efforts to build a positive work environment. An admirable feat considering the challenges posed by the pandemic. Recently, Arteculate sat down with  Sanker Shivanthan, Visharathan Kugamoorthy, and Sandaruwan Fernando, their CEO, COO, and CTO of Creo 360 respectively. The trio shared with us an inside look into the company’s journey, how it built a great place to work, and its plans for the future

Bridging Gaps in the North American Tech Market from Sri Lanka

Sanker Shivanthan – CEO of Creo 360

Creo 360 operates on an outsourcing model that provides a complete software solution to clients globally from Sri Lanka. “In a nutshell, the ethos of the company is to deliver unique software solutions and live up to the meaning of its name ‘Creativity Everywhere’,” highlights Sanker. They work with multiple tech stacks to develop a wide variety of mobile apps, web-based products, and more suited to the requirement of the client.

From his experience, Sandarawun shares that what separates Creo 360 is the ‘complete 360-degree’ solution they provide with not only their high-end SAAS products but also the marketing and sales strategies that propel their solutions to the next level. Since 2010, the company has built a large portfolio of partnerships with clients from the US and Canada; the biggest of which is Valsoft, where most of their products are handled by Creo 360. Visharathan further adds “As we operate through an extended remote working team, there is a vast pool of opportunity for anyone looking to further their careers working with an overseas clientele such as that of Creo 360.”

The Award-Winning Workplace Culture at Creo 360

“The reason Creo 360 recruits and builds teams for clients abroad is because we dream of empowering Sri Lankan talent and showcasing it to the world,” Sanker expresses. As mentioned before, the company thrives on a ‘Champion’ mentality to sustain the ideal work-life balance. The flat level of management practised at the company goes the extra mile in providing continuous feedback and training from the seniors, education on new technologies, organizing formal and informal events, and special workshops for the team leads/team managers.

“We ensure that our teams have everything they need to work happily, and do not fail to check in on them regularly,” states Visharathan. In doing so, he states that there has been an increase in productivity, positive client feedback, as well as in the number of new projects. Accordingly, this has given the trio the confidence needed to grow their team up to 60 members – four times more in the previous year. Starting with just 15, they now target 100 employees by the end of June 2022, making Creo 360 one of the fastest-growing tech companies in the country!

With one of their main offices based in Ontario, Canada, Creo 360 offers unparalleled exposure to the North American tech markets through its strategic partnerships with companies like Valsoft/Navotar, Global Database Marketing, H&L, and many more. “For example, we noticed that there was a demand for expertise in the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform in the region and began recruiting people and training them to meet this demand while receiving a pay,” explains Sandaruwan. Together with this, the company also looks to provide recruits with an opportunity to travel overseas and be on-site for implementation or training programmes.

Opening Doors for a New Set of Champions

Needless to say, the right talent would fit in seamlessly with the work culture at Creo 360. They are currently on the lookout for software engineers, digital marketers, business analysts, and management and customer relations staff to upgrade their existing talent pool. Upon recruitment, the company also promises a clear five-year career plan for recruits to know exactly the level of upskilling that is about to take place.

“Although we are in the midst of expanding to new companies and a new office to accommodate the growing staff number, we will not compensate on the ‘small company/family’ that we have instilled” reassures Visharathan. The trio believes that this is the reason behind the company’s success, and promises to abide by this culture of workplace champions at all times.
