Bluechip Technologies Asia: Guiding Asian Corporations to the Digital Future

Bluechip Technologies Asia is a company working towards making the digital future a reality. Specialising in Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, and other innovative technologies, the company is helping unlock their vast potential.  To that end, the company has developed several advanced systems for enterprises both locally and internationally. Over the past year, the company has grown rapidly and now has an active presence in Sri Lanka, Singapore, and Hong Kong. Recently, the company’s progress and skill were recognised as it progressed into the second round of the prestigious SLINGSHOT competition by Startup SG. Speaking to Arteculate, Founder & CEO of Bluechip Technologies Asia, Uditha Bandara shared the journey of the company and its vision for the digital future.

The origins of Bluechip Technologies Asia

Uditha Bandara – Founder & CEO of Bluechip Technologies Asia

Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Uditha was well-known as a specialist in Microsoft and AI Technologies. He holds the distinction of being South East Asia’s first XNA / DirectX MVP as well. While working with several multinational organisations regionally, Uditha recalls, “Starting Bluechip has always been a dream of mine. I wanted to enhance my experience as a professional by building such companies in Sri Lanka.”

In just over a year, the company has grown rapidly with a regional presence and a team of 20+ technology professionals. Working together, Bluechip Technologies Asia is helping organisations embrace the digital future. The company has developed custom solutions utilising AI, blockchain, and other technologies while also building its own suite of products.

Among this suite of products is an intelligent AI-powered system for call centres. The system analyses data from calls to identify customer behaviour and offers insights on a variety of factors ranging from lead generation to fraud detection. Based on this analysis, the call centre agent receives real-time updates that’ll allow them to make informed business decisions.

Internationally recognised innovators

As technology reshapes our lives, startups are leading the innovation revolution. With South-East Asia being among the fastest-growing economic regions in the world, several initiatives have sprung up to assist startups that’ll drive the next stage of this growth. One such effort is SLINGSHOT 2021 by Startup SG, where startups across the region can compete to win over 800,000 USD in prize money.

The competition is being held under four categories, focusing on Frontier Digital Technologies, Health and Wellness, Smart Cities and Sustainability, covering a wide field of industries. Among the many start-ups that are competing in this competition is Bluechip Technologies Asia, which has already moved on to the second round of this major competition. The achievement highlights the promising potential of the company as it competes against its regional counterparts.

Describing the experience to Arteculate, Uditha shared, “It’s a challenging competition. There have been over 7,500 participants this year from across Asia. Moving to the second round is definitely a major achievement. Having progressed from the initial rounds, we’ve gained invaluable insights and connections to corporates across the region.”

Still, this is only one forum where the prowess of Bluechip Technologies Asia has been recognised. The company is also going to present at the Hong Kong FinTech Week, Cyberport Venture Capital Forum, and the AI Summit at Silicon Valley. Uditha goes on to note that such initiatives to support startups and spark innovation are invaluable as we accelerate digital transformation in a post-pandemic world.

Making the digital future a reality

Looking at the current landscape, Uditha shares, “Several organisations now see the value of digital technologies. You can see that documents are now exchanged digitally, physical meetings are being replaced by video conferencing, and even banks are now virtual. We’ve only just begun and following the pandemic, this trend will only accelerate.”

Already we are seeing companies like Microsoft implementing AI across their entire product range. Likewise, Facebook, which rebranded as Meta is exploring the role of Blockchain and VR in their products. Hence, Uditha believes the need for innovation will only continue. As such, the future is bright for tech startups with the right products that offer effective solutions for everyday needs.

With all of these trends in mind, Uditha and the team at Bluechip Technologies Asia continues to expand across the South-East Asian region. Its prowess and mastery in innovative technologies to build powerful digital solutions have been recognised by initiatives such as SLINGSHOT and by regional corporations. Hence, as the digital future dawns on us, the company is positioned to be a regional leader among the ranks of Asia’s full-service software solutions providers.
